Cambridge Swing Dance C.I.C.
Cambridge Swing Dance C.I.C. is a non-profit company aimed at promoting Lindy Hop and other forms of swing dancing in Cambridge as well as helping the health and well being of its residents and those who visit us.
While our origins are with Lindy Hop, we also promote other related Swing Dances, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Blues and a few others besides from time to time!

We perform, teach, dance socially (and eat cake) at every opportunity. Our membership is drawn from all age groups and walks of life, and we take part in a lot of local events, such as Strawberry Fair and the Buskers’ Festival. We’re also active in the wider swing community and it’s a safe bet that you’ll find a Cambridge dancer at most UK events, and quite a lot of European ones!
Here’s a video of a typical night out for Cambridge dancers at a Cambridge burlesque night – Salon Rouge:

We have two large events during the year, Cambridge Lindy Exchange every October, where we host 150+ dancers from the UK and further afield for a full weekend of dancing, socialising and exploring the city. Then we have Swing Sanctuary which is more focused on learning, we get the best international teachers to Cambridge – but there are still some great parties!
We have a dedicated group of committee members, teachers and volunteers who work together to put on all our great events and make sure things run smoothly, and there’s lots of opportunity to get involved.
You can more about how we’re run here.
