Collegiate Shag and Balboa workshop for Beginners and Improvers

A double whammy of Shag and Balboa and Dance with Django’s Tiger!

Sat 15 September 2018:  Collegiate Shag Workshop – also see the Facebook Event

Times: Please arrive for a 11:00am start. We expect to finish around 5.00pm, but there will be stops for lunch and a few breaks!
Venue: The Good Shepard Church Hall, Mansel Way, Cambridge CB4 2ET.

If you’ve been dancing Shag a little bit, and are feeling stuck, come along to this workshop with Danielle and Simon. The aim is to get people feeling more confident, and get more people social dancing!

PLEASE NOTE this workshop is not for complete beginners. You must meet the following criteria:

– You have taken at least a few tasters or classes
– You’re comfortable with at least one basic in open, and one in closed
– You’re happy with being in closed, open, and side-by-side positions, and can transition between them

Times: Please arrive for a 11:00am start. We expect to finish around 5.00pm, but there will be stops for lunch and a few breaks!
Venue: The Boathouse, Chesterton Road, Cambridge CB4 3AX.
There is no parking on site but on street parking is free in the vicinity of the venue, but do check local signage.

For those who have attended classes recently we will focus on consolidating your knowledge and adding some embellishments, and for those who have a little less experience we’ll be covering some quintessential Balboa figures and hoping to whet your appetite for more.

Suitable for new and improving Balboa dancers as well as those looking for a little refinement to their fundamentals.

Saturday Night 15th September with Djangos Tiger – see Facebook Event

Time and place: 7:30pm, Arbury Community Centre, Campkin Road, Cambridge CB4 2LD

Dust of your dancing shoes and come and join us  for a night of live music from local legends Django’s Tiger and excellent DJs! Open to everyone!

Pay on the door for the social dance – but it will be cheaper if you have attended one or both of the workshops!
