Whether you want to go from being an advanced dancer to a master dancer, improve your quality of movement at any level, reduce pain, prevent debilitating illnesses, or simply enjoy the way it feels to walk down the street, learning about your body can be a life changing experience.
-Discover the natural movements of the pelvis for better efficiency, force absorption, and fluid movement.
-Learn the relationship between the sections of your legs for easier bending down and up.
-Find out how you can improve your relationship with your knees by changing one of the most common misconceptions about the body.
-Improve your balance by finding your true axis.
-Reduce neck and shoulder tension by learning the 6 directions your shoulder blade moves.
-Reduce lower back pain.
-Improve posture.
-Improve connection.
-Improve quality of movement and musical expression.
After 10 years of dance instruction Brenda is always looking for better ways to help her students meet their goals. She is already using the Franklin Method in her teaching and Brenda has explored many modalities over the next 15 years, finding that through movement education she could help her students become natural dancers in styles they previously struggled to master.
Another lifelong interest of Brenda’s is health and wellness. Brenda soon realized that movement quality was linked to health, reduced pain, injury prevention and recovery, deaging of the brain, and fighting illnesses such as Parkinson’s and Altzheimer’s. Most of us want to age with grace and dignity, maintain the ability to do the things we enjoy free of pain, and keep dancing until the end. Whether you want to go from being an advanced dancer to a master dancer, improve your quality of movement at any level, reduce pain, prevent debilitating illnesses, or simply enjoy the way it feels to walk down the street, learning about your body can be a life changing experience.
